1. Certification & Experience
Cenote and cavern diving are available only for certified divers (minimum Open Water certification) who are 15 years or older.
All dives are guided by experienced professionals with extensive local knowledge of Quintana Roo’s unique underwater environments. Each day of diving includes two dives, carefully selected to match your experience and comfort level.
If you decide to skip one of the dives, the full day rate still applies.Our team reserves the right to stop or modify any dive if safety, environmental, or behavioral concerns arise. These decisions are always made to protect our divers and the fragile cenote ecosystems. Such interruptions are non-refundable.
2. Bookings, Deposits & Payments
To secure your spot, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking as minimum.
The remaining balance can be paid in cash (MXN or USD) on the day of your dives directly to your guide.
All card payments (Visa or MasterCard) are processed in Mexican Pesos (MXN) at the current exchange rate.Secure online payments are handled via Stripe.com. Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your specific dates and logistics. If you prefer to pay your balance or total in advance by card, please notify us at least 24 hours before your dive day so we can send a payment link.
We are unable to process same-day card transactions.
Cancellations & Refunds Any cancellation within 48 hours of the dive is non-refundable. With more than 48 hours’ notice, refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.“No-shows” or same-day cancellations are non-refundable and non-reschedulable. Entrance fees, camera permits, and tips for guides are not included and must be paid in cash.
3. Cameras & Photography
Each cenote has its own policy on camera use.
Some allow cameras freely, others charge additional fees, and a few prohibit photography altogether.
These fees go directly to the landowners.If bringing a camera is important to you, please let us know before your dive so we can choose the best site for your experience.
4. Snacks & Hydration
We provide water, juice, and light snacks throughout the day.
If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or specific preferences, you’re welcome to bring your own food.
5. Transportation
By regulation, Devocean Divers Mexico cannot provide hotel pick-up services.
However, we can coordinate convenient meeting points along the Playa del Carmen–Tulum route (subject to availability).
Return drop-off is always at the same meeting point.
6. Equipment Use
Our equipment is high-quality, clean, and regularly maintained.
If you rent our gear, please use it responsibly — any loss or damage caused by negligence may result in repair or replacement fees.
7. Personal Items
You’re welcome to leave personal belongings in our vehicles during the dives.
We do our best to keep your items secure, but Devocean Divers Mexico is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft.
8. Weather, Conditions & Flexibility
Cenote conditions can change due to weather or crowd levels.
We may adjust schedules or dive locations to ensure optimal safety, visibility, and enjoyment. Your guide will always inform you of any changes in advance.
9. Conservation & Responsibility
Cenotes are sacred natural spaces — please help us protect them. Avoid touching stalactites, stalagmites, or other natural formations.Maintain perfect buoyancy and avoid stirring up sediment. Do not collect rocks, fossils, or artifacts. Use no sunscreen or repellents before entering the water. Respect wildlife and leave only bubbles behind. Our goal is to preserve these magical underwater environments for future generations.
10. Important Notes
All divers must present valid certification cards before the dive. Minimum age for cavern diving: 15 years old.
Pregnant individuals are not permitted to dive. Entrance and camera fees must be paid in cash (MXN pesos). Bring a towel and dry clothes for after your dive. Please arrive on time — we allow a 10-minute grace period before departure.
